A couple of days ago I started reading this book with high expectations. I am a great fan of Ruth Rendell and have read many of her other books including Inspector Wexford one's and individual stories. All of the books I have read up until this point have been intriguing and thrilling, always keeping me in suspense at the end of each chapter. However, this book was anything but. We start of with an event of a man - Victor - shooting a policeman. We then follow the live of Victor but nothing else interesting happens! I expected more violence, deaths and rape. But reading up to page 150 (I had to put the book down as I couldn't continue!) absolutely nothing of ...
