A couple of days ago I started reading this book with high expectations. I am a great fan of Ruth Rendell and have read many of her other books including Inspector Wexford one's and individual stories. All of the books I have read up until this point have been intriguing and thrilling, always keeping me in suspense at the end of each chapter. However, this book was anything but.
