 ... her decision to leave (she is now 47), but I'm trying not to quote too much. This, actually, is really difficult, as what I'd like to do is just give you the whole book, in quotations. The problem with "Lolly Willowes", you see, is that most of its humour, its social commentary, and its "just-rightness" comes from the way that Sylvia Townsend Warner writes it.
