Barney just wants a quiet life but is surrounded by people he hates. His colleagues, children, people who talk about football. Practically everyone, in fact. He's a barber, but hates cutting hair most of the time, too. Oh yes, and he may just be a serial killer hunted by the police. This is a darkly humourous book written by Douglas Lindsay. It's full of memorable characters and bizarre situations our hapless anti-hero lurches into by mistake. The dialogue is witty and fast-paced.
