Advantages: Best books ever.

Disadvantages: Makes me cry.

This was the first book of her's I'd ever read and I only read the first page and I was hooked - I couldn't put it down. I don't think that I have ever read such an heart breaking story I felt her pain and happyness and the terror it was as though it was me.On many occasions I had to put the book down as it upset me that much but I couldn't leave it alone. It was from reading that book that I got intrested in the rest as I always looked at her books as romantic junk but after reading this one i've become a true fan. I would put this on my list of best ever books read.

It start's off a family of the in a nice house with one child who is 6 years old her mother has problems and blames everything on her daughter Gabriella(things like she alway making a mess and getting dirty and making to much noise and speaking when she'd NOT been spoken to)Gabriella spent most of her time in her room never made any friends round, the rest of the time (when not at school) was spent hidding from her mother.Because everytime her mother thought she had done somthing wrong she would beat her to within an inch of her life. There was many times she very nearly killed her over somthing like spilling peas on the table cloth. Her father was to weak to stop her and let it happen for years, in the end it got to much for him and he left her. This only made things worse for Gabriella as her mother blamed her for that . And it goes on her life gets worse and many hard time fall gabriella over the years some bad some worse but in the end it works out (sort of)

good op, will probably read this on my forthcoming holiday, nothing like a Danielle Steele novel, when chilling out, is there? I get a little bit fed up with her writing style sometimes, some characters are a bit too perfect, however I still read all the books!
