Lord Demon was one of Zelazny’s earlier works and has a very typical early story line, the super powered figure with emotions and feelings. What starts as an entertaining fantasy novel however soon deepens into a very telling view of the human condition. Kai Ren our protagonist in this adventure is a demon, famous glass blower, sorceror and warrior he lives his life with a casual arrogance. However when his esteemed human servant is killed seemingly at the bequest of another demon Kai Ren sets out to find the culprit.
