Advantages: Well written adn constructed, epic

Disadvantages: Have to read the whole series adn it's a bit long, lacking direction

Book 6 of the wheel of time picks up the story with Rand in Caemlyn. Of all the nine books published thus far this is the best, it is before Jordan starts to lose his direction and hence has a theme that threads through from first page to last. The best constructed of the series this book melds the concerns of the different characters together into a seamless storyline.
The finale is the best (and most unpredictable) of any of the books apart from maybe the last one, having said this there isn't likely to be anyone reading this who hasn't read the first 5, and if you have read the first 5 you'll likely read this anyway. My advice is to those losing patience with the series after book 5, this is very good and worth the effort, go on read just one more.
For anyone who hasn't read the series, the first book 'Eye of the World' is great adn the next few are very good, if you make it this far continue as it is really very good.
