In my review of Darren Shan and the Lord of the Shadows I will not contain any spoilers of the book but I may write a few hints in and I will write about the first book in the series as it is necessary for you to understand as to what is happening. For this reason I would suggest you not reading this review if you are going to read the first book and want everything which happens in Darren Shan: Cirque Du Freak to be a surprise I would recommend you not to read the rest of the review. In my opinion "Lord Of The Shadows" is one of the best books in Darren Shans' highly acclaimed Saga. This book is reminiscent of the whole saga, full of twists and an unpredictable story lines. This book picks up after Darren Shan and Little Person Harkat were sent to the wasteland to discover Harkat's previous identity. The two friends have been spending time traveling with the Cirque Du Freak. Everything is quiet until the Cirque's manager, Mr. Tall, tells Darren that their next stop is Darren's hometown.
