I got this book because I like biographies about unusual events and travel. I've read quite a few books about people's travel experiences in strange places and this sounded very interesting and enticing. The book is a true account from a man from Israel called Yossi Ghinsberg who went travelling in South America. Tired of following the usual tourist trail he wanted to go somewhere different and experience the real South America. While staying in Bolivia, he met a man who claimed to have devoted his life to working in the jungle. He made his living from geology and panning for gold.
