a great read that really makes you want their relationship to work

Lots of Love follows Ellen Jamieson as she moves from the sea of Cornwall to the grass of Oddlode after a break-up from a 13 year long relationship. Her parents have recently moved abroad from Oddlode and so Ellen plans to stay in their idyllic cottage until it has been sold and then begin on her world travels as soon as she possibly can. However, when she arrives she finds she cottage in a bad state and so her stay in this small village looks like it might take longer than expected. Ellen gets dragged along to an Auction of Promises night by Ophelia Gently, a local friend she has made, and ends up accidentally bidding on a lot of three wishes promised by the local gorgeous bad boy Jasper Belling, nicknamed Spurs. These promises bring Ellen and Spurs closer together and, even though the entire village has no time for him, Ellen realises that Spurs isn't as bad as everyone thinks. But mysterious Spurs has a lot of secrets that Ellen can't get to the bottom of, and this, along with all the interfering locals, seem destined to keep them apart.

Lots of Love is one of several books written by Fiona Walker that is based in the small countryside village of Oddlode in the Cotswolds. The other books, including Love Hunt, Four Play and Tongue in Cheek, are set in the same town and include most of the same characters who are town residents but with different main characters.

This isn't a normal chick-lit or rom-com type book - there's also quite a bit of action in it as well but the romance and comedy are still definitely there. The book is quite chunky and at first it took me a while to get into but as soon as the chemistry started between Ellen and Spurs I couldn't put it down!
