Academic text
I just can't see it having broad appeal - it is too dry

Almost a good book
Shallow story and 2 dimensional characters

You know the characters, quick, easy read
Bad guys pretty pathetic, contrived

Good evocation of Christmas with familiar characters, well produced, good story, touch of magic
Anodyne, rather white-middle-class

richly imagined, can't put down storyline, beautifully written prose
needs time to just sit down for a good long read

an up to date work about the evolution of the Old Testament
may be a bit dry and academic for some

Amusing in places, interesting main character
Huge amounts of boring prose

Funny in places, good characters
Bit slow at the start, not as good as her first
