Advantages: Very funny, easy reading and a great bedtime or holiday book!

Disadvantages: A little predictable at points!!

I love reading and always have a book on the go, this was my last book to read before the one I'm up to now. I'd had it in my cupboard for months, I'd tried reading it once before but I couldn't seem to get into it, I was going my A Levels at the time and had more important things to think about, so I never even got past the thrid chapter.

So it was to my surprise that a couple of weeks ago, I found I was out of library books so picked up this, and I really got into it, so much so that I couldn't put it down!!

The story is of Lucy Sullivan, she's always had bad boyfriends (musician no hopers!!) and has recently broke up with yet another of the same man. When she is forced to go to a fortune teller with her work mates. The fortune teller tells her that within 18 months she will be married, this hits her hard, she hasn't even got a boyfriend let alone a fiance, not even a fancy fella....

She puts this to the back of her head, ignoring the fortune tellers predictions, until her friends fortunes start to come true. Lucy starts to think more and more about what she was predicted, and starts looking at men in a different way.

Could it be the video store man? The big headed American? The adorable Gus? Or could love find her in the most unlikely of places.....

The book is very easy reading, the perfect book to take to bed at night, its funny and full of whitty one liners and hillarious characters. Although slightly predictable in places (right from the beginning I knew who she would end up with), there are twists and turns which make the predictability ok!!

If you've read Keyes' other books such as Suschi for beginners, and the Other Side of the Story you'll love this book. Its a typical Marien book, very funny, very well written and the perfect easy readin book!!

Summary: A great read for any chick book reader!
