Advantages: Well written, keeps you hooked, and really funny

Disadvantages: Cannot think of any, Groban covers everything!

I thoroughly recommend this book to anyone who owns a dog - or just wants a book that is funny, sentimental and a darn good read!

John Grogan writes with an understanding of his reader - he must have visualised people turning each page and nodding - "Yeah, I know how you feel" or "Tell me about it". The description of the fantastic Marley encapsulated the struggles we have gone through with my own dogs.

But don't get caught up just with Marley, this is also a story of family, of heartbreak and of normal life. It is a loving story of a man and a woman who clearly love eachother and their journey with careers, family, childrean and most of all.... Marley. The most poignant moments are often between Groban or his wife and Marley which show just how wonderful the bond is between a person and their dog.

Also if you liked the film... then the book will have you howling!
