If you haven`t discovered Stephen Hunter yet, you`re missing out on a brilliant author. The Master Sniper is a novel set during the Second World War, and focuses on the Nazis urgent need to acquire a silent sniper rifle that will also have the added capability of night vision. The allies are alerted to the rush to achieve this weapon quite by accident, when a Jewish prisoner escapes almost certain death simply by devising a method of trying to stay warm.
