This book will suit any degree level mathematicians or students of other discplines that need mathematical tools. The exercises give superb examples of real applications and lead you by the nose to later work. The style of writing is fairly informal and I found it particularly useful as a kind of study guide to chapters of Feller's Introduction to Probability Theory & its Applications (a bible for statisticians). I regularly use the examples when I'm looking back at maths I haven't used in a while to check that I haven't lost the plot. The questions really test your understanding.
