I'm not a big fan of biographies, especially sport's biographies. I find them too one sided, usually the author writes something 'sensational' simply to sell more copies and therefore line his own pocket. But reading 'A Matter of Opinion' by Alan Hansen was a very refreshing and enlightening experience. This opinion may be biased; I am a strong Liverpool supporter myself and remember Alan’s playing days at LFC quite vividly. However, I believe this book would appeal to football supporter everywhere, no matter what team they support, as it takes you back to (in my mind) the good old days of 70's soccer when sweat and guts was as ...
