McCoubrey and White's Textbook on Jurisprudence is book that focuses on the main political and legal theories. The main areas that the book focuses on are legal positivism, natural law theories, critical legal studies and justice theories. What the book does is introduce areas of each subject and will then focus on individuals and how they have moved an area on or how they have interpreted a subject differently. Individuals that are examine are the likes of Jeremy Bentham, John Austin and H.L. Hart, et al. One of the problems with the book is that it is laid out in a way that does not really appeal to me, in that there is too much text to a page. ... Read the complete review
