Very little was known about Andy McNab before his first book, Bravo Two Zero, he was a more or less anonamous member of the 'Regiment' (Special Air Service). He left the army as the most decorated British soldier and went on to write a book about his experiences in Iraq following his capture while attempting to destroy several 'SCUD' mobile missile launchers. Immediate Action is the story of an out of control young delinquent, that comes out of a 3 day spell in a remand hospital before being let of with a caution, now he knew he had to make the choice between a life of petty crime and prison or doing something with his life. He chose the latter and goes off to join the army, more precisely the infantry and the Royal Green Jackets. This is an excellent book describing the life of Andy MacNab the famous SAS soldier from the Gulf war in Brazo Two Zero. In his book he talks about why he joined the army, describing the rough life he had as a child growing up in Peckham, London. The book focuses allot on andy's personal life as well as his army carear. This I found very use full as he like to state being a soldier is just a job, and by focusing a lot on his personal life he come across like a normal person where is job put stress on his mariage etc. The book also contains lots of details about his career in the army, describing vertualy every tour of duty he did, plus his training for ...
