This work has both virtues and shortcomings when one is attempting to create medieval costumes. It is fairly ponderous, being written in a historically accurate and rather scholarly manner. It uses a plethora of archaic terms which sometimes requires a good dictionary as well as patience and a healthy dose of common sense.
