Advantages: allways a good read

Disadvantages: we want lestat to get on form and come back fighting

This is the latest offering by the author of interview with the vampire, now on sale here in the uk.
I think for people to jump right into this book would be difficult if you had not read all the other books in this brilliant series,
the book continues the adventures of david talbot who was in the secret order of psychic detectives the Talamasca but now turned vampire by Lestat the the hero villain in this series of books, Lestat is now asleep suspended in limbo after his ordeal with the devil Memnock, the sad figure of Louis De Pointe Du Lac the vampire who would rather be dead than live this life of a vampire returns in this story and wants to find if claudia the child vampire ghosts is at peace in the after life, the only person who can help them is Merrick a witch who belongs to the secret order of the the Telamasca will she help them.....
This book returns to some old ground with the return of some of our favorite vampires but you do feel for the loss of the vampire Lestat and wish for him to awake good and proper and return with his quick wit and charm. and a feeling of something is lost when you read this book without him but with his fight with Memnock a very very powerfull book we can only wish his speedy recovery and hope he returns to full health soon.
UUUmmmm I fancy a bite now.
