Allan Ahlberg is one of those excellent writers who seem to have been around for ever and you think that you have read,with your child, everything he has ever written! That is why it was such a nice surprise the other day, when visiting the library that my daughter picked up this book - Miaow! - and promptly decided that it was one of the ones that she wanted to borrow. You see, although it was first published in 2002, I don't think that I had heard of it before! Allan Ahlberg is particularly good at writing in rhyme and this is the way that this book is written too. Great rhyming text. Not quite as humorous as some of the other books in the series.
