Book 4 in the Midnight Breed series the story follows Journalist Dylan Alexander by previous betrayal and are not to keen to fall in love again.
Dylan is a really tough heroine and not the damsel in distress type that you usually get in PR book which is refreshing.
I think considering the pasts that both character have had that the romance part of the book came a bit quickly I don't believe RIO would have healed so quickly and been able to fall in love with Dylan so soon after being betrayed so badly by his breed-mate.
I also wasn't fussed on how Lucan was portrayed in this book, he came across as cold and heartless and although this was probably appropriate for the story line I think it was a bit disappointing after how much his character developed in book one through his and Gabrielle's story.
I also didn't like the plot development with Dylans mum it seemed like a bit of a cop out to get her out of the way so Dylan and Rio could live happily ever after guilt free, I think a lot more creativity could have been used when handling this problem.
Overall the plot was heart warming and tear jerking and had a lot going in and it even has a ghost in it for anyone who is missing other supernaturals from this series.
like the others in the series this is fundamentally a romance novel and it therefore does have a lot of sex scenes in it that may not be suitable for the faint of heart or the easily offended as there are written in quite a graphic way, the series is also not appropriate for younger audiences definitely an adults only series.
