Advantages: Such a wide range of items included
Disadvantages: It`s only yearly
A good book for anyone interested in collectables. You don`t even have to be a serious collector to enjoy this book, it`s good for hoarders too. It`s interesting looking through, because unlike Antiques we all recognise a lot of what is in the book. It can be just as annoying too though...when you see something you remember you or your parents having when you were young, and when you ask your mum where it is now, she says I chucked that out years ago...it was priced at £500 in Millers...gutted! It`s handy too for people who visit Car boot sales, as it gives you ideas of whatto look out for. It is not `true` Price Guide as such, just a rough guide showing what certain items have been sold for or would cost. You may see something you know you have up in the loft, get all excited and realise you no longer have the original box...which could mean it is not worth much as it was the box that is rare. Millers Collectables Price Guide comes out yearly, and covers a wide range of items eg. China, Toys, Jewellery, Records, Comics, Radios It is fully illustrated, with a breif note on each item. It costs around £20, but it is a reference book, which will be picked up so many times you soon get your moneys worth, & once older members of the family hear you have it, they will probably want to borrow it.. There is a guide on collectables of the future & what is worth hanging on to, to hopefully make you some money one day. If it is too expensive for you, I have seen it in my local Library.
