I first discovered Spike Milligan when my best friend gave me a book to read by him. Me and said friend have always had a similar sense of humour, and I realised why he had given me that book very very quickly. That book was "Hitler-My Part In His Downfall" by Spike Milligan, and within one minute of opening it, I was in floods of tears in a fit of uncontrollable laughter. Put plain and simply, Spike is my PERFECT author - his sense of humour is right in line with my own, and he is basically my idol. Let me explain further - When I was a lot younger I had a paperback book called Silly Verse for Kids by Spike Milligan and I really enjoyed reading it.
