Maeve Binchy is known for her dramas which, to be fair, are aimed more at women than men, and my wife did enjoy this somewhat more than I did, but it was an okay read. I had never read a Maeve Binchy book before ,despite them being very popular, so when I saw `The Builders` in my local library I thought I would try it .As this is a short story book I decided it would be an easy way to get to know Maeve Binchy as an author rather than begining with a longer book.
