Advantages: Great easy reading, you won't put it down
Disadvantages: None
Mirror, Mirror is the second book in the series revolving around Chris Wallace's lies and deceit. The first book is Promises, Promises which I would advise is read before this one but is not essential as Mirror, Mirror is a very good book in its own right.
The character in which all the other characters have a connection to is Chris Wallace, he is a lying cheat who can love only one person which is himself. He is a real ladies man and women love him, however, in this book they all see the light and move on leaving him high and dry. Firstly you have Ellen Munroe, she loves Chris and was with him first in the first book Promises, Promises. She was with him until she fell pregnant and he ran a mile. Didn't want to be tied down to any commitment and left her with a child out of wedlock. She picked herself up with the help of her father but still has a place for Chris in her heart despite having the undivided love from another very kind man Doug. When her wants her back in her life she always goes running back, but finally in this book she realises that Chris is never going to change from the lying rat he is.
Suzy Wallace is Chris' wife and has found out about her husband's affair with her best friend Alexandra Johnston and sets out for revenge on the pair of them. Suzy cannot move on until she has brought them both right down and will not forget the double betrayal they caused. Alexandra Johnston is dedicated to her work and really thrives on her career. She plays Chris as the fool he really is and leaves Chris out on his ear when she gets what she wants from her work.
This is a really great book that is a brilliant easy read with romance, humour and friendships. As with all Patricia Scanlan books I've read its brilliant and would recommend to anyone.
Summary: Another great book by Patricia Scanlan
