This book is great. I was traveling in Kathmandu, Nepal, went into a bookstore and this title grabbed me. I wondered why I never heard of the book in the US. Upon looking further I discovered the idea of the book was an essay attacking Catholicism. When Jose Saramago won the Nobel Prize for literature the Vatican issued a statement against the award, and anything that can rile up the Catholic hierarchy certainly demands our attention. Hitchens book elaborates on the problem with religion: that it discounts all those who do not practice the given religion. The Abrahamaic religions do not teach us how to live with honor.
