I got lent this book by my boyfriend a couple of weeks ago, after he told me i would REALLY enjoy it. He was right. The Book is the first in a series called "Keys to the Kingdom" written by Garth Nix (although i am unsure whether that is his real name) The books central Character is an unlikely hero by the name of Arther, who suffers from asthma, and who is the adopted child of a famous medic. I was bored, and I'd got a few hours to kill. I'd been to WH Smith's the day before to order the new Harry Potter and I'd been given a free (yes a free) book. Mister Monday, written by (or so I'm told) the well respected Australian Children's author Garth Nix (www.garthnixon.co.uk - actually a really useful website, well worth a look). I got this book free from WHSmith when I pre-ordered a Harry Potter book for my partner. I do not normally read books but I found this one so good I have been buying the rest of the books in the series. To be honest this was the first book I have actually read in years. Other books in the series include : Grim Tuesday, Drowned Wednesday, Sir Thursday, Lady Friday, Superior Saturday and I believe there is a Sunday one being written too.
