Might be interesting for those who have an analytical mind - and understand forensive anthropology! Slow, no excitement, too complex to be entertaining for the average reader

A good read Nothing

Not just one mystery to ponder over. The Land sisters irritated me at times.

a good murder mystery with a good message through out none

Great descriptions, Thrilling Plot, intersting method of delivery (a story within a story) Follows only one character so there is a narrow view of events in the book.

Snapshot of the British mood in 1940/41. Entertaining. Reasonably Paced. Slightly dated

Filled with interesting characters and relationships, very realistic Open-ended nature will frustrate some; not really a "crime" novel in the strictest sense
