Once a week my brood and I descend upon my parents house and cause several hours of chaos before heading home again, my mum likes to calm things down a little before the children come home to bed and so she will sit with them for half an hour and read them some stories. With the Christmas season approaching she bought in some Christmas themed books and among these was "Mog's Christmas" By Judith Kerr, an adorable little hardback that immediately caught my little girls eye and quickly became a firm favourite. This book is another story by Judith Kerr about Mog, a cat, who wakes up one morning to find that her world has changed. The family is making preparations for Christmas but Mog doesn't understand what's going on. There are strange people in the house and all the family are too busy making cards, decorations or baking to pay her any attention. The final straw is when father brings in a Christmas tree, only she can't see father, hidden beneath its branches, she only sees a moving tree. So she runs away and hides on top of the chimney.
