Let's Meet on Platform 8 - Carole Matthews

Premium Review A chance meeting that changed life (723 words)
by abbadabbado - written on 25/08/09 (Very useful, 67 readings)
Rating:

After hearing quite a bit about Carole Matthews as an author, I knew I had to give one of her books a go. The first one I happened upon was "Let s Meet on Platform 8", which I stumbled on through readitswapit. Teri is a single girl who is constantly on the lookout for her Mr Right. She can never find anyone that will treat her properly. Not wanting to give up hope, Teri dreams of finding her perfect man. She literally bumps into Jamie one day whilst waiting for the tube on her way home from work. Jamie knocks her to the ground, giving Teri sore knees and dented pride. After some angry moments, and a few tears, Teri realises Jamie isn t a big oaf who deliberately ...

You Drive Me Crazy - Carole Matthews

Premium Review If you're not already - this may drive you crazy! (676 words)
by rachelwestall - written on 02/03/09 (Very useful, 224 readings)
Rating:

from the library, my other half and myself headed off for a couple of days without the kids. Heaven! I had enjoyed a couple of other titles by Carole Matthews, so I was looking forward to reading this one. Two of Matthew s books have been in the top five of the Sunday Times Bestseller fiction chart. So this hopefully sets the standard for this book. This review is for You drive me Crazy . I apologies before you begin to read this as I find it quite hard to write book reviews. I never know how much to say about the plot, not wanting to give the story away, and then end up probably not writing enough. Anyway, here goes..... Falling in Love can be a bumpy ride... (The ...

A Minor Indiscretion - Carole Matthews

Premium Review A MAJOR INCONVENIENCE! (639 words)
by jojopillo - written on 05/06/09 (Very useful, 141 readings)
Rating:

A Minor Indiscretion by Carole Matthews is the third of my 3 for £4 books purchased from Morrisons. The first two I read with a passion but this one took me much longer to read. 38 year-old Alicia Kingston is married to Ed and has three children. Her life has its everyday routine but for some reason she is feeling miserable and she doesn t know why. While having a coffee in London s Covent Garden a young street artist comes along and starts to sketch her. She s not impressed and asks him not to, telling him that she won t pay him; but he s quite insistent and says that he doesn t want paying, but if she thinks it s good she can maybe buy him a coffee. She would ...
