Mr Birthday is a new addition to the Roger Hargreaves family of Mr Men. He is not part of the original series and only appears in the "added sparkle" series to commemorate 35 years of Mr Men (1971-2006). The book is still written by Adam Hargreaves as well as illustrated by him. As well as the title, the front cover shows Mr birthday with a cake in one hand and a balloon in the other. He is surrounded by balloons, which have sparkly glitter in them. The back cover shows other books in the same collection (this edition shows 10 but other titles show 14). The back cover also has Mr birthday and Little Miss birthday standing on the 35th ... Read the complete review

Mr Birthday is another character who starts in the new collection of Mr Men books with added sparkle. He is a square shape and blue in colour. He wears red shoes and a red and yellow stripy party hat. THE STORY The story begins by telling us that the best thing Mr Birthday enjoys about birthdays is the parties that is why he always wears his party hat. It tells us that he likes to organise parties for everyone that he knows. The story goes on to tell us about some of the parties he has organised and who they were for. Mr Birthday gets reminded about a very special birthday which is happening the following week ... Read the complete review

Mr Birthday is one of 18 stories in the Mr Men and Little Miss books with added Sparkle collection. The reason these books are called with added sparkle is the fact that all of the front covers have something glittery or sparkly or shimmery about them. I must add at this point however that despite being a huge Mr Men and Little Miss fan I wasn't immediately aware of the existence of these books. This book was released to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the Mr. Men in 2006 but I didn't get this book until the Christmas of 2008 although I had been wanting it for quite a while. The front of this book has a brilliantly bright and glittery picture ... Read the complete review

In 1971, Roger Hargreaves created the Mr Men books after his son, Adam, asked him what a tickle looked like. Roger decided to draw one and write a story about it, and then continued with a number of other emotions and actions, creating the Mr Men series and the Little Miss series. Following his death in 1988, he left some unfinished books which were finished off and published under Roger's name by his son, Adam. Then, a few years ago, Adam produced his own Mr Men and Little Miss books, including this one, Mr Birthday, which was released to celebrate 35 years of the Mr Men. Mr Birthday is a blue square with a smile, party hat, cake and balloons. In the story, ... Read the complete review

The Mr Men and Little Miss collection is great for your children and both you both could have a great time together reading these wonderful books. Don't you think it is a lot better for your children to read a book than to be watching the TV all day? Mr Birthday is a cheerful Mr Men, he is a blue square shaped Mr Men with a red nose. He wears big red shoes and a colourful yellow and red striped party hat. He has a birthday cake in one hand and a balloon in the other, as you can see a party man! Lol! Mr Birthday is the sort of person that loves organizing birthday parties, he will always volunteer to organize a party for anyone and everyone he ... Read the complete review
