Mr Birthday is a new addition to the Roger Hargreaves family of Mr Men. He is not part of the original series and only appears in the "added sparkle" series to commemorate 35 years of Mr Men (1971-2006). The book is still written by Adam Hargreaves as well as illustrated by him. As well as the title, the front cover shows Mr birthday with a cake in one hand and a balloon in the other.
