Mr Brave is the 40th of the popular Mr Men children's books created by Roger Hargreaves. The books were a favourite of mine when I was a child, and now my son loves them as well. The author started writing them in 1971 after his son asked him what a tickle looked like and he drew it, resulting in the first book in the series, Mr Tickle. His son, Adam, continued writing and illustrating the stories after Roger's death in 1988, and this is the first of those. The Mr Men books retail at £2.50 each and are available from most bookshops. I recommend them all as well as the Little Miss books. It's funny. Mr Brave doesn't look how I would have described ... Read the complete review

The Mr Men series of books written by Roger Hargreaves is well loved by children and has been for many years. The series contains 46 stories each of which tells the tale of a new and exciting Mr Men character. Mr Brave is number 40. He is a oval shaped character with legs and arms like a human being. He is pale yellow in colour and wears glasses and a stripy red and blue baseball cap. This is the picture of him that you will find on the front of the small square, white book. You will also find his name in block capitals on the front and smaller pictures of all the other characters in the series on the back. This allows you to easily identify which books you ... The Mr Men collection is a wide selection of children's books written by Roger Hargreaves. There are many books full of fun and adventures that children love. I remember when I was a kid, I loved my parents reading them to me at night and when I learnt how to read, I was really proud of myself as I could now read the Mr Men books to my parents! Mr Brave is an oval shaped Mr Men, he is a bright yellow and wears a blue and red cap. He wears a pair of round glasses and he has a round yellow nose. He doesn't look that to brave to me! On the cover of the book you will see Mr Brave walking and the title in big black lettering. Mr Brave isn't an ... Read the complete review
