Let me tell you about a book by Dr Seuss you may be familiar with the Cat in the hat stories about a Zany cat. Dr Seuss wrote many other books including
Mr Brown can moo can you?


This book comes as an easy to hold, difficult to tear board book essential as it will get so many readings by inexperienced hands and toddlers might also use it as a teether.


On the front cover we see Mr Brown all dressed in brown with his mouth making a mooing shape a jolly cow is smiling at him.
You could start reading this book to a young baby 6 months or so they will love the noises you make Whizzz, buzz, boom. It’s good to start reading books to your child from a young age get them to love books and it is a really special sharing time

A child of about two or three will love this book.
The pictures are simple no fussy pictures each page has just Mr Brown and the animal or item whos sound he is copying.
The pictures are not fussy and confusing with lots of unnecessary detail. The colours are good .
This book is great for children learning sounds and word shapes saying the words along with you, pop pop, klopp, klopp, klopp, diddle dibble dop,
This book is fun you can be inventive and make a meal out of the words be inventive. Do actions along with the words as you say them when it’s the bee buzz pinch your thumb and forefinger together and buzz your bee around make goldfish kisses.

This book is great for early readers too as they learn the sounds the letters make. It is fun for a child to read.



This book is priced at £3.99p is 14 pages long and it measures about 14 cm tall, the pages are wipe clean. I would certainly recommend this book for fun reading.


Dr Seuss was born March 1904 and died in September 1991 a few of his books were published posthumously I think this was one of those since publishing date is 1996. Seuss was his middle name his full name Theodor (Ted ) Seuss Giesel
