The sixth book in the Mr Men by Roger Hargreaves is Mr Bump, and is also my favourite. My 4 year old son's girlfriend (aaahhhh) calls him Mr Bump, because he is forever bumping his head or grazing his knees or running into things. The amount of plasters we have got through as well as the number of accident report forms we've had to sign at preschool for him I'm sure is more than any other boy in history. So, that's the reason for his nickname. As far as the book is concerned, it tells the tale of Mr Bumo, the accident prone Mr Man, who is a blue oval shaped man with bandages around his middle and his head to show he has been in the wars a bit. The story tells ... Read the complete review

As a young child the Mr Men and Little Miss series of books were always a firm favourite of mine. They were so popular in my house that I had the teddies, the bedding, the curtains, posters, and mugs. I could go on but I'll stop. Come to think of it just last Christmas my mum bought me a Little Miss towel. Anyway I digress but the point I am trying to make is that once you start reading these books your love for them just doesn't end and I think that it is this that has made the series so popular. Mr Bump is number 6 in the Mr Men series, which contains 46 books written by Roger Hargreaves and later his son Adam. Mr Bump is a roundish shaped character that is ... Read the complete review

'Mr Bump' is number 6 in the very famous Mr Men series by Roger Hargreaves. It tells the story of the very accident prone Mr Bump, who can't seem to do anything without either hurting himself or breaking something. It is impossible for him to hold down a job as he is such a liability. Mr Bump eventually decides to go on a holiday to get over all his little accidents and try to come up with an idea of a job he can do. You'll have to read the book if you want to find out whether or not he succeeds! The 'Mr Men' books are small [they measure 13.6 x 13 x 0.8 cm] and all have white covers with a picture of the main character from the story on them. Mr Bumps is blue ... Read the complete review

When I was younger, I always used to take Mr Men and Little Miss books into school for the teacher to read to the class at the end of the day. I'd passed them on to my silbings however, and recently stumbled across them when I was holidaying. I decided to give some a read, and opened up book number 6, 'Mr Bump'. Mr Bump is one of my favourite Mr Men characters. He's a blue egg shape, and is wrapped in bandages at his head and waist. And why? Well, he's so clumsy, he's always hurting himself! The story is all about Mr Bump's accidents, even when he goes on holiday! Though it has a very happy ending - he bumps into a tree and down falls a shiny apple (cause for ... Read the complete review
