What made it worse was that if he didn't have anyone to talk to he would talk to himself. One day Mr Chatterbox went into the hat shop to ask for a hat. Of course he didn't simply ask for a hat as that would have been too short and so by the time he had finished Mr...more

The Mr Men books is a series of 46 books written by Roger Hargreaves and then later his son Adam Hargreaves. They are simple children's stories that tell the story of a different some-what stereotypical character in each one. In this way the short stories do have a somewhat moral stance to them but are in the same way told in a fun and entertaining way to keep children amused. Mr Chatterbox is number 20 in the Mr Men series and the front of the book looks pretty much like all the others in the series, white with a picture of the character in the centre and his name printed in block, black capitals above. Mr Chatterbox himself is semi-circular in shape and ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Mr Chatterbox - Roger Hargreaves: Would you please stop talking for one second? (261 words)

Mr Chatterbox is the 20th book in the Mr Men series created by Roger Hargreaves. I like the series and all of the books, and this is an amusing one. My son likes this one, and sometimes I feel like he is Mr Chatterbox, he talks so much after reading it to him! Mr Chatterbox is a dome-shaped character. He is purple with a green hat and some blue and white shoes. In the story, he talks so much that no one knows how to stop him talking. He orders a hat, and gets sent a magic red hat that automatically grows every time he starts chattering away. Will Mr Chatterbox realise he talks too much, or will he get smothered by the hat? I found this one quite ...  Read the complete review

When I was younger, I always used to take Mr Men and Little Miss books into school for the teacher to read to the class at the end of the day. I'd passed them on to my silbings however, and recently stumbled across them when I was holidaying. I decided to give some a read, and opened up book number 20, 'Mr Chatterbox'. Mr Chatterbox is quite a cute pink character with a green hat and little blue shoes. Mr Chatterbox does nothing but natter and chatter, which can be quite annoying for those around him. In his story, he is given a hat, which grows and grown when he constantly talks. One day it grew so big it covered him completely! If he stops talking, will it ...  Read the complete review
