Mr Cheerful is a round orange shaped character. He wares a yellow and blue hat and always has a nice big smile. He is number 43 in the collection.
The cover of the book is white and has a picture of Mr Cheerful and the title in black lettering above this and the back cover is also white and has small pictures showing all of the other characters available in the collection.
THE STORY
The book begins by telling us a bit about Mr Cheerful, how he always wakes in a cheerful mood with a nice big smile and that he is probably the most cheerful man you could ever meet. There was one thing which mad him sad but he kept that a secret and did not wont anyone to find out about it.
Mr Cheerful in never with out a smile, from breakfast till bath time he always has the biggest smile across his face. He was even smiling when it rained and when the sun was out he would smile brighter than the sun. Everyone who was around Mr cheerful could not help but also be cheerful. Mr Funny would always feel so happy around him that he would pull a funnier face than usual which always made Mr cheerful laugh out loud.
One day when Mr Cheerful was out fir his walk he bumped into Little Miss Splendid, would he be able to make her smile or would he loose his own smile and stop being cheerful?
MY OPINION
This is a super addition to our Mr Men library, the story is fun and has been written in plain simple words which makes it easy for my 3 year old to follow. The book is accompanied by nice bright pictures which help to explain the story to younger listeners.
The book is laid out in a very simple way as with all the books in the collection with the writing on plain white pages on the left hand page and the illustrations on the right hand pages.
The writing is quite small which may put new readers off from reading the book independently but with help they are quite easy books to read. They can be read in under 5 minutes which makes them good for a quick read or a bed time story.

The book was written by Roger Hargreaves and published by Egmont UK Limited. The retail price of the book is £1.99 but they can be bought from Wilkinson's stores for £1.49 which is a good Bargain as the books are widely liked.
