As he goes about his day and gets bored, his active imagination takes over and starts wandering. He dreams he comes across this boy named Jack, and together they share in a number of adventures and meet some creatures and people. This book doesn't really carry much of a moral to the story, but it does show us what it's like to daydream. The boy Jack sneaks out of class in his daydream, and I remem...more

Mr Daydream is another Mr Men story from the Mr Men Collection written by Roger Hargreaves, which contains 46 books. Mr Daydream is number 13 in the series and is a pale blue cloud shaped character with a very broad grin. This is the picture of him that is one the front of the book, which is itself small square and white. Mr Daydream's name is then printed above this picture in bold block capitals. On turning the book over you can then see smaller pictures of all the Mr Men in the collection. This is a great way of keeping track of which books you have bought and which you have left to do so. The story itself is written in the same format as all ...  Read the complete review

When I was younger, I always used to take Mr Men and Little Miss books into school for the teacher to read to the class at the end of the day. I'd passed them on to my silbings however, and recently stumbled across them when I was holidaying. I decided to give some a read, and opened up book number 13, 'Mr Daydream'. Mr Daydream looks like a fluffy blue cloud. In his story, Mr Daydream takes a little boy called Jack to dreamland whilst he's sleeping, and together they go on many adventures and meet new friends, such as the huge bird! This book, written by Roger Hargreaves, is quite an entertaining story that children will love. It's written in quite ...  Read the complete review

The 13th book in Roger Hargreaves' Mr Men is Mr Daydream. This must have been quite a hard one to imagine a picture for, but Hargreaves captures him perfectly: a blue cloud with a happy expression on his face. He looks like he's away with the fairies! The Mr Men books were first created in 1971 after Hargreaves' son asked him what a tickle looked like. The author then examined a number of different actions and emotions would look like in human form and wrote short books about them. Mr Daydream, as I have explained, is a blue cloud-shaped man with a beaming smile. As he goes about his day and gets bored, his active imagination takes over and starts wandering. ...  Read the complete review
