Mr Forgetful is the 14th in the popular Mr Men series created by Roger Hargreaves in 1971. The books are timeless and were a favourite of mine when I was a kid. I now read them to my son and he loves them, too. Each story normally carries some kind of moral to it, and this one shows us how important it can be top not forget things.

Mr Forgetful is a deep blue colour and is shaped like an egg. His mouth is shaped as if he is saying 'Oh!' as he constantly forgets, and he wears a little red hat. The story shows Mr Forgetful as he wakes up and forgets his dream, then forgets where the bathroom is and burns his breakfast before heading into town to buy a stamp and send a letter, but will he remember?

This is a funny book, and it shows how being forgetful can be a problem. It doesn't really tell us that we musn't forget, just shows us what happens when we do. It's more of a funny Mr Men story than one giving us a moral. The illustrations are vibrant and colourful, and are on the right hand pages, and the writing is on the left hand pages.

The Mr Men books retail at £2.50 each and are available from most bookshops. I recommend them all as well as the Little Miss books.
