Roger Hargreaves first created the Mr Men series back in 1971 after his son asked him what a tickle looked like. Hargreaves then proceeded to use a string of emotions and actions and put them into picture format and tell a story about it. Mr Funny is the 18th book in the series. Mr Funny is a pale green circle, smily and with colourful red and white shoes. He has a tall yellow and blue hat with a flower sticking out of it, and really does look funny. In the story, he goes to the zoo, but finds it closed because all the animals have colds and are miserable. He does a funny magic act and makes them all smile, and hopefully make them all get better ... Read the complete review

When I was younger, I always used to take Mr Men and Little Miss books into school for the teacher to read to the class at the end of the day. I'd passed them on to my silbings however, and recently stumbled across them when I was holidaying. I decided to give some a read, and opened up book number 18, 'Mr Funny'. Mr Funny certainly does look funny! He's a green circular shape with a long yellow and blue flowery hat and large clown shoes. Mr Funny goes for a day out at the zoo, but it's closed because all the animals are upset. Though, Mr Funny makes the animals laugh and cheers them up. This book, written by Roger Hargreaves, is quite an ... Read the complete review

Mr. Funny is the 18th of the Mr. Men books written by Roger Hargreaves. The books in the MR men collection are aimed at very young children, but I'm 15 at the moment and I think they are wonderful! The front cover of the book is white, with a picture of Mr. funny, a clown like cartoon. The Title Mr. Funny is printed in black at the top, with the authors name underneath it. -The story- Mr. Funny lives in a teapot, one day he was having lunch. This consisted of a "daisy sandwich and a glass of toast!" After his lunch Mr. Funny went for a drive in his funny shoe shaped car. As he was driving along everybody that he passed ... As those of you who read a lot of my reviews will have gathered by now the Mr Men and Little Miss books are well loved by me. If you aren't one of those people then I shall simply reaffirm this. I love Mr Men and Little Miss. I always have done and I know I always will do. Luckily I am not alone in my love for them either as for many years now both the Mr Men and Little Miss collections have been firm favourites for children. The Mr Men series itself contains 46 books and the book I am reviewing today, Mr Funny, is number 18 in that series. Mr Worry is a roundish pale green character with a bright red circular nose. On his feet is a pair of clown style red ... Read the complete review
