Mr Grumpy is the 27th of the popular Mr Men children's books written and illustrated by Roger Hargreaves. The books were a favourite of mine when I was a child, and now my son loves them as well. The author started writing them in 1971 after his son asked him what a tickle looked like and he drew it, resulting in the first book in the series, Mr Tickle. Mr Grumpy is a tall, rectangular shape. He is blue with a green hat and has the grumpiest face you've ever seen. One day, he comes across Mr Happy, and stamps on his foot. He doesn't apologise, but what will Mr Happy do about it? Can he make Mr Grumpy get rid of his grumpiness? The book is a good one ...

When I was younger, I always used to take Mr Men and Little Miss books into school for the teacher to read to the class at the end of the day. I'd passed them on to my silbings however, and recently stumbled across them when I was holidaying. I decided to give some a read, and opened up book number 27, 'Mr Grumpy'. Mr Grumpy is a miserable looking character, an enormous frown on his square blue face. In his story, Mr Grumpy bumps into Mr Happy, almost literally, who is not pleased with his grumpiness. My Grumpy is another character in the popular Mr Men collection. He is a rectangular shape and blue in colour and he wears a green top hat. The book has a white cover with a picture of Mr Grumpy and the title at the top in black lettering.
