Premium Review Mr Jelly - Roger Hargreaves: Jelly at the drop of a hat (ok a leaf) (576 words)

As a young child the Mr Men and Little Miss series of books were always a firm favourite of mine. They were so popular in my house that I had the teddies, the bedding, the curtains, posters, and mugs. I could go on but I'll stop. Come to think of I still have most of that stuff. Anyway as usual I digress. The point is however that once you start reading these books your love for them begins to grow and in my opinion it is this that has made the series so popular. Premium Review Boo! Haha, only kidding Mr Jelly (301 words)

Mr Jelly is the 15th Mr Men in the popular series by Roger Hargreaves. It is also published in some places as Mr Nervous. It deals with the emotion of nervousness and how jumpy some people can be. Even so, the drawing is done well and cleverly, using a vibrant pink colour and motion lines around his body to denote the wibbly wobbly effect of jelly. He also has a wide open mouth to show being scared all the time. Mr Jelly lives in the middle of a wood as he ...  Read the complete review

The back of the book has a collection of pictures showing some of the characters available in the collection. THE STORY The book begins by telling us that Mr Jelly is frightened of everything and anything. The slightest little thing would make him wobbly, shake and turn to jelly.
