When I was a little girl I used to love the Mr Men and Little Miss books and my mum and gran used to read them to me. So as my little boy got older I was going to read these books to him, and he loves them just as much as I do. So for my little boys birthday I brought him the Mr Men Complete Library books, and I am so glad I did he absolutly loves them. They are the perfect stories to read to your children any time of the day, but they make especially lovely bedtime stories. The Mr Men Complete Library contains 46 books and is written by Roger Hargreaves. Roger Hargrevies started writing Mr Men books in 1971. The Complete ... Read the complete review

Mr Men - A good old classic. Its always difficult to know exactly what book to get your children started on, but this is a no-brainer! The characters are engaging and colourful, and shall have your children laughing. Words are simple and easy, and its very engouraging for the kids, and they will have great fun learning new words through these books. I must say, the new characters are a bit of a let down, but thats maybe just because I remember the classic ones from when I was a child. My younger brother particularly enjoys these books, and loves comparing us all to his favourite charaters. I think these were a ... Read the complete review

I challenge anyone to not love the Mr Men books. Having very fond memories of them from childhood I bought this set for my son while pregnant and kept it for him for christmas. Granted at 4 weeks old he wouldn't use them for a while lol. There are some amazingly memorable characters here: think Mr Happy and Mr Bump. Somehow Roger Hargreaves manages to turn everyday thoughts and ideas into wonderfully imaginative stories. Each book has some great illustrations and they give you something to talk about with your young readers. My son is now 11 months old and he's developed a fascination with Mr Messy. He's too little to sit and listen but he stares at ... Read the complete review

Always a massive fan of the series and having kept all of my old Mr Mens in the parent's attic, I decided to dig them out for my five year old son. Being rather shabby I purchased the complete library and got to fall in love with the series all over again. So simply written but so great as a filler, bedtime story or even practising reading. Stories are all so simple yet, always raise a smile (from myself and my son) and the illustrations are perfect. I always find that discussing the pictures first and then getting my son to read works well for him as there isa certain amount of guesswork needed in reading anyhow. This is ideal as a Christmas present for the childin your ... Read the complete review

I was baby sitting the other day for a three year old and she had this Mr. Men Complete Library, and in 8 hours we made our way through all of them. I want this set, it has all the characters I remember as a kid and it took me right back to my childhood. Roger Hargreaves is a genius!!! I have seen the price of this set and it's a LOT cheaper to buy them this way than separately, so it is VERY reasonably prices, you are talking around £3 per book otherwise, multiply that by 46 and you are getting them half price - right? The illustrations and bright and colourful, thats why kids love these so much. A complete library of books also means that you dont have to spend ... Read the complete review
