This book is one of the 79 classic Mr. Men and Little Miss collection that have stood the test of time. I remeber reading them to my daughter and now I am reading them to my grandchildren. It is an amusing story about a character called Mr. Bump who is always having accidents. At the beginning of the story Mr. Bump falls out of his bedroom window and bangs his head giving him amnesia. He meets Mr. Muddle who tells Mr Bump that his name is Mr. Careful and this leads to many amusing incidents that small children will enjoy. Mr. Bump eventually retrieves his memory. When Roger Hargreaves, creator of the Mr Men, passed away, his son Adam continued his legacy, finishing the production of a number of books his father had started. In 1998, Adam released a series of stories featuring some of his father's most memorable Mr Men characters, and this is the 4th book in the series of individual Mr Men stories. It follows the simialr style of the original series, with the words of the story on one page and the rich, colourful illustrations on the opposite page. From a very young age my mum would religiously buy me a new Mr Men or Little Miss book every week. If I was lucky my grandma would also by me one and so it didn't take me too long to amass the entire collection. The collecting of the books however was only the start as to be completely honest you wouldn't be wrong if you had said I was obsessed with anything remotely Mr Men like. My bedroom was decorated with Mr Men stickers. I had the Mr Men bedding and curtains as well as wall clock, figurines, posters, coat hangers and of course the soft-toys.
