Mr Small: A Big Day Out is the 2nd in the series of the New Library collection of books featuring Roger Hargreaves' Mr Men. The books are created by Roger's son Adam, who has continued his father's work. Mr Small is, as you can guess, really small, and this story features him feeling sorry for himself because he is so small. One day, whilst on a walk, he wishes he was bigger, and happens to do so very near a wizard, who grants him the unintentional wish. The Mr Men and Little Miss classic library's have been popular for many years and introduced us to some of the characters that we have come to love so dearly. As a young child the Mr Men and Little Miss stories played a big part in my reading and to be completely honest you wouldn't be wrong if you had said I was obsessed with anything remotely Mr Men like. As you can imagine therefore when in 1998 Roger Hargreaves' son Adam Hargreaves released a new story library that told new stories about existing characters I was more than eager to collect the books. Well written and good plot None really

The heroine is spirited, witty and highly intelligent None

easy to use for all ages words presented in kanji and kana mixed, but not just using kana, scenes are of a Western city

Teaches recognition of facial parts Parts could be more durable
