Advantages: It is an appealing looking Book,with a nice lttle story.
Disadvantages: Book Binding is by no means strong enough.
"Mr.Men" books have been around for years,written and illustrated by Giles Hargreaves they have provided great entertainment and fun for children.
"Mr.Men" are best known for being small handy sized paper back Books,always pocket money priced,enabling children to acquire the whole collection.
The stories are simple so most children can understand them.
As for the illustrations they are bright,colourful and very simply drawn.
But my opinion is not of the paper back versions but of a "Mr.Man" Book that actually stands up on its own.
My son was given "Mr.Tickle" for christmas.
Inside it tells the story of the night "Mr.Tickle" just cannot go to sleep.
He ends up counting Tickle Sheep and falls asleep.
But He starts to sleep walk ,ending up outside the House.
He comes across Sheep in a field that He tickles,then a sleeping Bird on a chimney,infact all night "Mr.Tickle" sleep tickled everything.
In the morning back Home in Bed "Mr.Tickle"believes that He had dreamnt all the sleep tickling that had gone on the night before.
This is a bright orange coloured Book,that is coated in hard plastic.
When stood up "Mr.Tickle" has moulded plastic feet and a little Blue Hat on His Head.
Open Him up and each page is made of a round plastic disc with the text and pictures stuck on to each one.
Is's actually pretty weighty,a bit worrying if a small child has a tendency to throw things,it is hard enough to hurt a child.
The pages are bound in a really thin piece of material,this I have since found out is by no means strong enough,its coming away from the pages already.
This Book cost £6.99,a bit pricey but You are obviously paying for the Novelty of it.
My first impressions of this Book,was how original it was.
It made reading about the "Mr.Men"stories even more fun.
But they need to rethink the bounding of this Book its just not strong enough.
Especially considering the price you pay for it.
