Mr. Mischief - Roger Hargreaves

Mr Mischief is the 36th of the popular Mr Men children's books written and illustrated by Roger Hargreaves. The books were a favourite of mine when I was a child, and now my son loves them as well. The author started writing them in 1971 after his son asked him what a tickle looked like and he drew it, resulting in the first book in the series, Mr Tickle. Mr Mischief really does get up to no good. He is a rotund yellow shape, constantly sniggering and with a pink hat and blue nose. When I was younger, I always used to take Mr Men and Little Miss books into school for the teacher to read to the class at the end of the day. I'd passed them on to my silbings however, and recently stumbled across them when I was holidaying. I decided to give some a read, and opened up book number 36, 'Mr Mischief'. Mr Mischief is a yellow character with a pink had and blue button nose. In this particular story, Mr Mischief goes about causing mischief and creating havoc, but when he meets a wizard, things start to go horribly wrong for the naughtly little man! The Mr Men series of books contains 46 stories within it. The first 43 books were written by Roger Hargreaves and the final three books by his son Adam. They are simple children's stories that have been loved for a long time and will probably be loved forever. Mr Mischief is number 36 in the series and so was written by Roger Hargreaves.
