Mr Nosey and the Big Surprise is a lovely little book in the Mew Mr Men Story Library.

Mr Nosey is an egg shaped character which is green, he has a very long nose.

The book is white with a picture of Mr Nosey peeping around a yellow door on the cover and on the back are some smaller picture showing other titles available in this new collection.

THE STORY

At the start of the book we are told how Mr Nosey doesn't min his own business, he minds everyone else's instead.

It goes on to say how if there is a letterbox or a keyhole he will peek through it. He goes for a walk in the woods when he hears a door shut. He peers around a tree and finds a small door.

Mr Nosey decides that he cannot go past the wall or door without knowing what is on the other side. He opens the door and takes a look.

What will Mr Nosey find behind the door and will he ever stop being nosey?

MY OPINION

This is a very fun book. The story is a very nice length, not being too long which makes it ideal for a bedtime story.

The book is set out in a very easy to read and follow way with the writing on the left hand side of the pages and the illustrations on the right hand side.

The pictures are all nice and bright which helps keep the children involved in the book.

The text is on the small side which does not help encourage my eldest to read along.

As with all of the Mr Men stories there is a small lesson to learn at the end of the book.

The retail price of this book is £1.50 which I think is a Bargain.

There are 24 stories in the new library including both Mr Men and Little Miss.
