As a young child the Mr Men and Little Miss series of books were always a firm favourite of mine. They were so popular in my house that I had the teddies, the bedding, the curtains, posters, and mugs. I could go on but I'll stop. Come to think of I still have most of that stuff. Anyway as usual I digress. The point is however that once you start reading these books your love for them begins to grow and in my opinion it is this that has made the series so popular. Mr Quiet is number 29 in the Mr Men series, which contains 46 books written by Roger Hargreaves and later his son Adam. Mr Quiet is a small round character that is olive in colour and rather meek ... Mr Quiet is number 29 in the Mr Men collection. He is a small round yellow shaped character and has a small round nose and 5 short hairs sticking up out of his head. The cover of the book is white and has a picture of Mr Small at the bottom and the title above this in black lettering. The back cover is also white and has smaller pictures showing the other characters available in the collection. The book begins by telling us a bit about Mr Quiet. We learn that he likes a quiet life and lives in a small cottage in the middle of the woods. He only problem with his cottage in the woods is that the woods was in the middle of Loud Town. Everyone in Loud Town was ... Read the complete review

Mr Quiet is the 29th of the popular Mr Men children's books written and illustrated by Roger Hargreaves. The books were a favourite of mine when I was a child, and now my son loves them as well. The author started writing them in 1971 after his son asked him what a tickle looked like and he drew it, resulting in the first book in the series, Mr Tickle. Mr Quiet is a small, round, yellow man with a small tuft of hair and a very quiet air about him. He lives in Loud Land, which is probably not ideal for him. No one can hear him., and he is always being ignored. Down in the dumps, he meets Mr Happy, who manages to find a job that is perfect for him - but what is ... Read the complete review

When I was younger, I always used to take Mr Men and Little Miss books into school for the teacher to read to the class at the end of the day. I'd passed them on to my silbings however, and recently stumbled across them when I was holidaying. I decided to give some a read, and opened up book number 29, 'Mr Quiet'. Mr Quiet is a small little mustard yellow circle of a character. In his story, Mr Quiet is so quiet nobody can understand or hear what he is saying. When he goes to visit Mr Happy, he is offered a job which is perfect for him - working in a library! This book, written by Roger Hargreaves, is quite an entertaining story that children will ...
