'Mr Silly' is number 10 in the Mr Men series which was written by Roger Hargreaves. Mr Silly lives in Nonsenseland, where everything is very silly. The trees are red and the dogs wear hats so it really is the ideal place for Mr Silly to live! Every year there is a competition in Nonsenseland called the Nonsense Cup and Mr Silly is desperate to win it, but he needs to come up with a really brilliant idea if he's to beat such genius as a car with square wheels. After much pondering Mr Silly enters the competion, but will his entry be daft enough to win the cup? The front cover of this book is white with a picture of Mr Silly on it. Mr Silly has a big smile, is ... Read the complete review

My son got this book for Christmas and today I sat down and read it to him. Believe it or not, I've never read a Mr Men book before, and wondered at how there could be so many Dooyoo reviews on them when they are, ultimately, tiny little simple kids books: how wrong was I? Mr Silly is a Mr Men who lives in Nonsenseland, a place where everything is stupid. An example of this is that the dogs in Nonsenseland wear hats and the dogs fly backwards. Every year, there's a competition to see who can come up with the silliest idea, and the book is about Mr Silly's entry. With 18 small pages of writing, the book took less than ten minutes to read to my boy, ... Read the complete review

The 9th book in the series was the funniest one to date, as Mr Topsy-Turvy did everything wrong, and Roger Hargreaves continued with this theme in the 10th book of his Mr Men series: Mr Silly. This book has a little more imagination and silliness than the others, and is funny in a similar way to Mr Topsy Turvy. There is no moral message as you may find with other Mr Men books, but it gives you a funny tale. Mr Silly is a pale brown colour, with a big orange top hat pulled down over his eyes, and big clomping shoes. He lives in Nonsense Land, and one day the King announces a competition to do the silliest thing. Mr Silly has to come up with a silly idea, so ... Read the complete review

Mr Silly is number 10 in the Mr Men series, which is a collection of 46 stories written first by Roger Hargreaves and then later by his son Adam. The book is square in shape and white in colour. On the front is a picture of Mr Silly himself and above this picture is his name written in block, black capitals. Mr Silly is a beige coloured character character, round in shape with a large circular nose and a broad grin on his face. He also wears a bright orange top hat on his head and large yellow shoes on his feet. On the back of the book you will find smaller pictures of all the characters within the series, each with their number and their name ... Read the complete review

When I was younger, I always used to take Mr Men and Little Miss books into school for the teacher to read to the class at the end of the day. I'd passed them on to my silbings however, and recently stumbled across them when I was holidaying. I decided to give some a read, and opened up book number 10, 'Mr Silly'. Mr Silly looks very silly indeed. His shoes are large with amazing patterns, his oversized orange tophat covering his eyes. In his story, Mr Silly tries to think of a way to win the Nonsense Cup (a cup which is awarded to the town's silliest) and competes with the others who want to win. But what silly things will he come up with, and will they be ... Read the complete review
