Mr Slow is the 39th of the popular Mr Men children's books written and illustrated by Roger Hargreaves. The books were a favourite of mine when I was a child, and now my son loves them as well. The author started writing them in 1971 after his son asked him what a tickle looked like and he drew it, resulting in the first book in the series, Mr Tickle. Mr Slow looks like a slow, old man, with a round, orange colour and a small green hat and big bushy white moustache. He is very slow at everything, including opening his Christmas presents and reading the paper. He reads the news but sends everyone to sleep, and despairs about finding a job that he is good at. ...  Read the complete review

When I was younger, I always used to take Mr Men and Little Miss books into school for the teacher to read to the class at the end of the day. I'd passed them on to my silbings however, and recently stumbled across them when I was holidaying. I decided to give some a read, and opened up book number 39, 'Mr Slow'. Mr Slow looks like a pea. A pea with a bright green hat and fluffy white 'tash. In his story, he is very slow. Mr Slow wants a job, but is there anything his friends can suggest that he can do that wont bore those around him? This book, written by Roger Hargreaves, is quite an entertaining story that children will love. It's written in ...  Read the complete review

Mr Slow is number 39 in the Mr Men series, which is a collection of 46 stories written first by Roger Hargreaves and then later by his son Adam. I am a huge Mr Men fan and Mr Slow is one of my favourites because it reminds of my dad - just don't tell him. The book itself is square in shape and white in colour. On the front is a picture of Mr Slow and above him is printed his name in block, black capitals. Mr Slow is round character that is olive green in colour and has a bright yellow nose and bushy white moustache. He also has a green bowler hat perched on his head. On the back of the book you will find smaller pictures of all the characters ...  Read the complete review

I find reading a fun way to entertain myself for a while, you can do it anywhere and at anytime so it is a great way to expand your knowledge and imagination. Some kids these days don't appreciate a good book but if you read them from an early age, they will become to know how to appreciate books. The Mr Men collection is a great set of books for young children to enjoy, they are full of fun adventures and colourful pictures. Mr Slow is a green coloured Mr Men with a big yellow nose and two black beady eyes. Underneath his round yellow nose he has a big white moustache and he wears a small green hat. The story starts off telling us a little ...  Read the complete review
